Fight for your parents’ love!

We now know who the favourite Manning child is:

The Manning Bowl was unexpectedly one-sided, with a 38-14 result in the Colts favour. Peyton made it rain, throwing for three touchdowns, 255 yards and completing 20 of 26 passes. Eli was somewhat less proficient, throwing for one TD, 161 yards, and 13 for 24 with one pick. Afterwards Peyton was showered with praise, while Eli was taunted and booed until Archie’s throat was sore.

It took some brotherly competition for Peyton and Indy to bounce back after last week’s embarrassing loss to Houston, though much of the credit has to go to the Indianapolis defense, sacking Eli four times and keeping the Giant’s rush to 120 yards. It was a good omen for Indy’s D coming after last week’s 257 yard brutalization by Houston’s rush offense.

Despite his performance I’m not going to diss Eli too much. Last time I did that, in the respected pages of Mohawk College’s The Satellite, he responded by leading one of the greatest upsets in NFL history against New England in Superbowl XLII. I was duly chastened.
