Rondo Power

This week’s Sports Illustrated cover has been released, and it’s none other than the great Rajon Rondo. A nice honour for the young superstar, and it also helps explain Boston’s little mini-choke the last couple of games. Before Celtics fans get too worked up though, it should be noted that KG, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen were ’07-08 NBA Preview cover boys, and we all know how that season turned out.

In other Celtics news, Kendrick Perkins had his second technical from last night reversed, meaning he’ll be eligible to go for Friday’s Game 6 in Boston. Good news for the Celtics, and a bit embarrassing for idiot ref Joey Crawford, who’s basically being told by the league that he screwed up and did Orlando a big favour in getting the big man tossed just before halftime. Time for another break, Joey?

(Thanks for the heads up from devoted reader Natasha Guz on the Rondo cover.)

  1. This “devoted reader” took a brief hiatus and happened to miss this awesome post. I had to hear about it from the “blogger extraordinaire” himself.

  2. Natasha is an awesome devoted reader… the blog is very good too

  3. Thanks!

  4. Yeah and next we’ll be debating oil spills! 🙂
