Happy Halloween from LenDale White

Prankster LenDale White

Happy Halloween! Story time, in the spirit of the day:

Back in 2005, current Tennessee Titans running back LenDale White was a senior at USC, where he paired with Reggie Bush to give the Trojans the best backfield in College Football. Anyway, on Halloween he and head coach Pete Carroll decided to play a prank on his teammates.

During practice that day, White got angry with Carroll over what he felt was a lack of touches. As practice wore on, White got more and more upset to the point where Carroll kicked him off the field and told the rest of the team to prepare to play without him. White, who lived in a building close to the practice field, retreated home and appeared on the roof off the building, yelling and threatening to jump. Then he threw a dummy with his number 21 jersey off, making everyone think he killed himself.

Suicide isn’t exactly a funny thing to joke about, which is why I laugh more in disbelief when I recall this incident more so than at the prank itself. Even more unbelievable is the fact that White somehow got Carroll in on it. White, on the other hand, still doesn’t shy away from shock value himself.
