Gameday: Raptors-Grizzlies

Bosh and the Raps face Mayo & co. tonight in Memphis

Who here wants to have fun? Now, if you answered yes — are you just saying you wanna have fun, or do you reaaaally wanna have fun? Look no further than tonight’s Raptors-Grizzlies tilt, where Toronto looks to stay undefeated against their expansion cousins that had enough of their Canadian digs and moved south.

Again, a full preview on Raptors Republic, complete with matchups and keys to victory. Due to some technical difficulties, my 2k10 simulation didn’t make the post, though it’s available on the sidebar on the main page and in the forums section. Here’s hoping it’s accurate.

The Grizzlies also opened the season Wednesday night, getting pounded at home by the new-look Pistons, 96-74. The young duo of Rudy Gay and O.J. Mayo chipped in a combined 25 points, which tends to happen when you clog up the offense with black holes like Zachary Randolph. It may get worse tonight with the return and Memphis debut of Allen Iverson, who’ll be a gametime decision after missing the opener. What were they thinking bringing in those two guys?

Anyway, an opening night win over the Cavs has me geared for a pounding of the Grizzlies, though I’m familiar enough with Raptors basketball not to get too ahead of myself. Let’s see what happens!

it seems that the teams amp up for the better teams, and push cruise control for the suck-ass teams. “you win, then you get paid”…….what a concept. LOL.

  2. Yep, and it’s frustrating as hell…

  3. […] an idiot. Seriously. Look, no team is going to start you. Memphis, as I was saying last week, is out of their minds for bringing the guy in (and Zachary Randolph, too) with a pair of young up-and-comers like Rudy Gay and O.J. Mayo. How is a guy that wants to take 35 […]
