Remembering Pedro at his best

Pedro drives Zim into the ground

In the spirit of Pedro Martinez getting the ball in tonight’s Game 2 against his daddies, I figured there was no better time to recall the greatest Pedro moment in the history of life, pictured above.

For the record, Martinez discussed the incident yesterday when asked by reporters, saying he regretted grabbing 72-year-old Don Zimmer by his large ears and tossing him to the ground. However, he didn’t go as far as to apologize for standing up for himself against the old man:

“Zim charged me and I think he’s going to say something,” he said, “but his reaction was totally the opposite, (he) was trying to punch my mouth and told me a couple of bad words about my mom. I just had to react and defend myself.”

Anyway, Martinez has the ball for Philly tonight against big jerk A.J. Burnett and the Yankees. Let’s get it on!
