Jays make moves after sweep

Casey is back

Casey is back

A sweep at the hands of the Red Sox results in a few roster changes for the Jays: Called up are Ricky Romero, Casey Janssen and Joe Inglett in place of Brett Cecil, Robert Ray and Travis Snider.

The biggest name, of course, is Snider, who has struggled after a hot start to the season. Still, at age 21 and just three years removed from high school, he’ll get what he needs — a chance to play everyday. Cecil and Ray held their own before rough outings at Fenway and also aren’t likely to be hurt by a little seasoning.

Janssen, who missed all of last season after shoulder surgery, is apparently scheduled to start tomorrow in Atlanta, while Romero is set to go Tuesday against the smoking hot Orioles.
