That’s all she wrote…

The Matrix, saving the best for last

The Matrix, saving the best for last

It’s over, thankfully. Eighty-two games was enough to make any Raptors fan want to smash their head against a wall, though like any, I’ll be primed and ready for another run come November.

The Raptors closed out their season with a 109-98 win in Chicago tonight, their third straight victory, to avoid a 50-loss season and finish a tidy 33-49. Shawn Marion made another pitch for staying in Toronto, scoring 34 points on 15-of-18 and grabbing 11 boards, while Chris Bosh had 21 and 19 before heading out with hopes of being a decent father over the off-season.

Yeah, so this season was a nightmare. With some flexibity, it should be interesting to see what Bryan Colangelo has up his cufflinked sleeves this summer, and I’ll be sure to weigh in with opinions along the way. For now, though, I’m looking forward to the playoffs, or at least the third round, after the Lakers, Cavs and Celtics sweep their way through to it.
