A-Rod, upon striking out in what was likely a playoff game
Alright, maybe you’ll only be let down by Alex Rodriguez pulling out of the World Baseball Classic if you’re still a fan of his, but you’re more than likely not anyway. Nevertheless, A-Rod is on his way to Colorado to see a specialist for a cyst on his hip, which likely developed because of his rampant use of performance enhancing drugs and because, well, he’s an idiot in general. Actually, I can’t confirm that as the reason, but didn’t Jason Giambi have a benign tumor due to steroid use a few years ago?
Rodriguez played for the United States at the 2006 WBC, but was set to suit up for the Dominican Republic this time around. According to Newsday, A-Rod also said he wished Dominican shortstop Jose Reyes “was leading off on our team, playing on our team”, a quote that hopefully stirs up some emotions with Yankee teammates Johnny Damon and Derek Jeter. Well said, A-Rod.
